1. About these terms
These terms apply when you buy a subscription to LMU Broadcast Control. They sit alongside the End User Licence Agreement (EULA) that comes with the software. If the two conflict about your subscription, these terms apply.
The seller is Paul Glover (trading as Broadcast Control), 61 Bridge Street, Kington, HR5 3DJ, United Kingdom. For questions about your subscription, billing or a refund, email support@broadcastcontrol.uk.
2. Plans
The software has a free tier and one paid plan, Premium, available monthly or yearly. The features of the plan are described where you buy it. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout, in pounds sterling.
| Limit | Premium |
|---|---|
| Registered devices | 5 |
| Devices running the app at the same time | 2 |
| Device removals in any 30 days | 4 |
| Remote commentators per session | 2 |
| Stewards per Stewards Room | 1 |
A device removal you undo within 7 days does not count towards the removal limit, and nor does deactivating a device from inside the app. Overlays, the Stream Deck plugin, the SM Bridge and commentator or steward pages do not count as devices. To use the app on another registered device when the limit is reached, close it on one of the others, or disconnect one from the app or at portal.broadcastcontrol.uk.
3. Billing and renewal
Payments are taken by Stripe. Your subscription starts when your first payment succeeds and renews automatically at the end of each month or year, charging the card or payment method you gave, until you cancel. We never see or store your full card number.
4. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time. Sign in at portal.broadcastcontrol.uk and use Manage billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal: you keep your plan until the end of the period you have already paid for, and are not charged again.
5. Your right to cancel within 14 days
If you are a consumer, you can cancel your first purchase of a plan within 14 days of paying for it and get a full refund. Email support@broadcastcontrol.uk with the email address you subscribed with. We refund to the original payment method within 14 days of your request.
6. Other refunds
Apart from section 5, we do not refund part-used months or years when you cancel. This does not affect your rights if the software is faulty or not as described (section 10).
7. If a payment fails
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will try again over the following days and may email you. If the payment still cannot be taken, your subscription ends and your licence returns to the free tier.
8. Your licence key and devices
Your licence key is for you, or for the organisation you bought it for. Do not share it, publish it, or use it on more devices than your plan allows. You can see and remove your devices in the portal. We may suspend a key that has been shared or misused; see section 11.
9. When your subscription ends
When a subscription ends, or is cancelled and its paid period runs out, your licence returns to the free tier. The app keeps your paid features for up to 7 days if it cannot reach our servers to check. Your settings and files on your own computer are not deleted. Data we hold for you online, such as Stewards Room records, is kept and deleted as set out in our privacy policy.
10. If something goes wrong
The software must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If it is not, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including a repair or replacement, or in some cases a refund or a price reduction. Tell us at support@broadcastcontrol.uk. The software depends on Le Mans Ultimate and other third-party products; changes they make can affect it, and we will work to restore any feature that stops working.
11. Suspension and ending by us
We may suspend or end your subscription if you break these terms or the EULA, for example by sharing your licence key. If we end a subscription for any other reason, we will give you reasonable notice and refund any part of the period you have paid for and not received.
12. Changes to plans, prices and these terms
We may change a plan's price, features or limits, or these terms. If a change affects your current subscription, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then. A price change only applies from your next renewal after the notice period.
13. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, and our total liability is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose and £100. This matches section 13 of the EULA.
14. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
